Breakfast. Morning departure for Ankara, passing through the Bolu Mountains. Once in Ankara, we will visit the Atatürk Mausoleum. It was inaugurated in 1953 and is dedicated to the founder of modern Turkey. It is a marble block with 40-ton columns, reached via a long street flanked by lions, ending in a vast plaza. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, and then we will continue on to Cappadocia. En route, we will also visit the salt lake. Arrival, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel.
-
Breakfast. We will spend the day exploring this fascinating region with its unique landscape, formed by lava spewed by the Erciyes and Hasan volcanoes 3 million years ago. We will visit the open-air museum of Göreme Valley, an incredible Byzantine monastic complex featuring rock-cut churches with beautiful frescoes. We will visit the Avcilar and Güvercinlik valleys, which boast spectacular views of the so-called Fairy Chimneys. Lunch will be served during the visit at a local restaurant. We will continue with a visit to the Pasabag or Çavuşin Valley. During the excursion, we will have the opportunity to visit some typical carpet, onyx, and turquoise workshops. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. During your stay in Cappadocia, you will have the option of taking part in a folk dance show in a typical cave with unlimited regional drinks and a hot-air balloon ride at sunrise.
-
Breakfast. Departure for Pamukkale. Along the way, we'll pass through the Konya Plain and visit a caravanserai: ancient buildings along trade routes that served as shelter, rest, and food for travelers and their animals. We'll have lunch at a local restaurant and continue on to Pamukkale. A place where the high concentration of limestone water has created one of the most spectacular formations in the world. Arrival, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel. If time permits, you'll have free time at the hotel to enjoy the hot springs.
-
Breakfast. Departure for Hierapolis, an ancient Hellenistic city now in ruins. We will visit the famous Cotton Castle, a natural wonder of gigantic white waterfalls, stalactites, and natural pools formed over the centuries by the passage of water laden with limestone salts from hot springs. We will transfer by bus to Selçuk, the center of Ephesus. This ancient city is one of the best preserved in Asia Minor. During the 1st and 2nd centuries, it had a population of 250,000 and monopolized the wealth of the Middle East. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. We will then visit the Temple of Hadrian, the Roman Baths, the Library, the Odeon, the Theater, and more. We will visit the house of the Virgin Mary, where she is believed to have lived and died. Finally, we will visit a leather workshop where we can see the famous leather fabrics of the Aegean region. Transfer by bus to Izmir. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
-
Breakfast. Bus transfer to Bursa, where we will visit the Green Mosque or Yeşil Cami, built in 1419 by Mehmed I Çelebi. Next to the mosque is the Green Mausoleum, considered by many to be the most beautiful building in all of Bursa. Bus transfer to Istanbul. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.
-
Breakfast. We will depart in the morning to visit the Ottoman-style Rustem Pasha Mosque. We will then take part in one of Istanbul's most famous activities: a boat ride along the Bosphorus. This canal separates Europe and Asia. During the trip, you can admire the Sultans' palaces and typical old wooden houses. We will conclude our day with one of the most popular visits: the Spice Bazaar or Egyptian Bazaar, established by the Ottomans five centuries ago and used ever since. We will enjoy free time. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
